October 17, 2022 — Richard Conard of Wayland, Massachusetts has graciously loaned a series of 27 slides for scanning and uploading to the Media Gallery. These incredible slides were taken by him on August 19, 1967 during a trip to Steamtown, U.S.A, when he was 15 years old. The slides detail a trip on the Monadnock, Steamtown & Northern Railroad from Riverside to Chester with F. Nelson Blount at the throttle of his beloved #127 — just twelve short days before his tragic death at age 49.
